5 Of My Top Blogs To Help You Relax Into Holiday Cheer (Without Freaking Out)
By Doug Bennett aka The Goals Guy®
Do you love the holiday season and the opportunity to rest and recharge, or do you find yourself pacing back and forth, itching to dive into your emails without your partner noticing?
Let’s be honest, holidays can be stressful for entrepreneurs. Instead of thriving under the challenges of work and making money, you’ll likely find yourself being encouraged to monitor the cooking of the Brussels sprouts, and faced with the dreaded concept of “r-e-l-a-x-i-n-g”.
“Trying to relax” can be particularly stressful if you don’t already incorporate it as part of your regular self-care as a business owner. Since I started working four-day weeks, I’ve found it easier to unwind and deal with whatever comes up, but I know even the words “day off” will strike fear into the hearts of those of you who thrive on adrenaline.
In this blog, I’m going to share five of my top blogs from the last quarter (or you can click here to revisit all my blogs) so that you can make the most of your holidays, deal with any angst you may have about what 2023 might hold, and, if you’re in a relationship, create some of the much-loved holiday sentiment so that you can star in your very own version of Love Actually.
None of us like to feel that we’re struggling, but burying your head in the sand will only serve to spoil your festive break, and make it harder to kick off January with momentum.
One of the signs that you might be struggling is that you say “yes” to everything, leaving you short of time and capacity to take the actions that will propel your business forward. Personally, I find that “overwhelm” is a warning signal that you need to make some changes, and often those changes can be little, simple and powerful (click here to reveal the other five signs that you may be struggling, and to discover three solutions).
Even if you’ve experienced business hardship or poor profitability this past quarter, trust that burning yourself out is not the answer. You will benefit from taking a break; it creates the space that enables fresh inspiration and insight to surface, and, if you’re anything like me, you’ll feel a lot more energised to take January by storm. As many entrepreneurs will tell you, myself included, running your own business can be the best thing that’s ever happened to you – and it can also take a toll on your relationship unless you find a way to give your relationship the attention it deserves too. This blog will help you and your partner or spouse to make the most of your holidays, and one of the things you might want to consider is the use of a certain three-letter word (no, not that one! Read the blog to find out what the three lettered word is!).
Do you ever look around you and wonder what the world’s coming to? Do you feel like you could do “more” to create a happier, more fulfilled life and world? It sounds like a heavy question but the reality is you can create a positive impact by making just a handful of changes – and what better time to consider that than when you’ve got some time off? Dive into more of this juicy stuff and prepare to dramatically expand your comfort zone by clicking here.
By the time you’ve reached this part of the blog, you’ll likely know what steps you need to consider to help make 2023 a knockout for your business, and you’ll have breathed life into your romantic relationship. Have you considered what else would help you boost your bottom line next year and give you the support and accountability that’ll take your business from surviving to thriving? There are, of course, many things you could do, but this one thing is practically guaranteed to make a big difference (click here to read the full blog).
I hope you’ve dined out on all the nuggets of wisdom that I’ve shared here (there are definitely a few crackers!).
